Golf Etiquette is an essential part of the game of golf to make it safer and more enjoyable.
Here are some basic rules of Golf Etiquette for golfers before hitting the course:
- Keep carts on the suggested cart path, especially around the greens and tees. 90° rule applies for members over 70 years.
- Do not drive carts into the tee or aprons of the greens.
- Repair your ball mark/pitch mark plus one more on the greens.
- Replace divots neatly, plus one more.
- Add sand if required, plus one more.
- Tee up between markers—do not move the markers.
- Play only one ball.
- Rake bunkers when completed, place rake outside bunker after finishing.
- Do not drop flagstick on the green; place carefully.
- Warn ground staff when hitting up.
- Do not take divot when practicing your swing, especially on the tee.
- Do not take hand trolleys between green and bunkers—guide caddy to go around.
- Beware of shoe spike marks on the green.
